QuickTake: The Case of the $6,000 Shower Curtain

Dennis Kozlowski Posted by Hello

Dennis Kozlowski, disgraced ex-CEO of Tyco International Ltd., had to have been a tough sell to the jury hearing charges the he and fellow Tyco executive Mark Swartz looted the company's treasury for over $500 million. Who would be willing to cut some slack to guy living in a $31 million apartment, complete with a $6,000 shower curtain. I, for one, would sure like to see that shower curtain!

Personally, I don't see why everyone is so shocked. So they caught another money-hungry executive. There are 100's of 1000's more that have yet to be caught. This shouldn't surprise anyone anymore. It's everywhere you turn.

Thumbs up to the judge for the 25 year sentence that they are about to serve, though.

Maybe that will make those other blood-sucking exec's think. Yeah right.

I would also like to see that shower curtain. This is another example of our country's #1 disease...Greed. When will it stop, people are so caught up in having riches that they do WHATEVER it takes to get it. No matter how immoral it is. What ever happened to honest hard work to get what you want and need?

Wow $6,000 for a shower curtain. I think you can go to Walmart and buy a shower curtain for $2.

This is yet another example of corporate power gone awry. It doesn't seem to be about whether it is right or wrong, but whether or not you can get away with it.

I'm so glad this man will be going to jail for a very long time, he deserves it. He really didn't care for those he hurt and stole from. The Bible is true when it states that the love of money is the root of all evil.

Is it really necessary for a person to own a $6,000 shower curtain? That's what happens when executives have power and lots of money. Their life turns into Greed and they want everything and anything money can buy.

It is amazing how some people are willing to spend so much money on a shower curtain that you can buy at Wal-mart for a couple of dollars. They both are used for the same purpose. See you would spend the two dollars and the rest of that money could have been used toward a charity or something like that.

The sickening greed demonstrated by Mr Kozlowski just reaffirms by belief that his behaviour is just reflection of the current state of American business.Mr Kozlowski and his miscreants should be dealt with severly in federal court.

It is not shocking to me, it seems like every week there is some executive getting busted for something. Im starting to get confused on the stereotypical mold of a criminal. They are coming in every fashion, and they seem to be getting richer and richer.

Just because you were a powerful executive with millions of dollars, you to should be punished like everyone else.

I say leave him alone. If you had the chance to get away with taking that much from a billion dollar compny you would too, don't even say you woudn't. I fro one wouldn't spend 6000 on a shower curtain. I would spend it on a backyard outdoor shower fountain ha ha hah............
